(Perhaps) the only thing that Hillary Rodham Clinton (69) and Uhuru Kenyatta (55) may have in common with each other is that they share the same date and month of birth: October 26 – albeit in different years.}

Born October 26, 1947, Mama Clinton (nee Diane Rodham) is an American Lawyer and Politician who married another American lawyer and politician in 1975, Bill Jefferson Clinton, the 44th US President (January 20, 1993-January 20, 2001).

She served as Junior US Senator representing New York State (2001-2009) – after which she became the 67th State Secretary (equivalent to Foreign Affairs Minister in other nation-states) from January 21, 2009 to February 1, 2013 under the first-ever Black US President (2009—), Barack Hussein Obama.

Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta was also born on October 26, 1961. Born to the founder of Kenyan Nationalism and Kenya’s first President, Jomo ‘Johnson Kamau’ Kenyatta (1891-1978), Uhuru went on to also become the Kenyan President as well: 2013 todate! In a manner of speaking, the only denominator here’d be that Hillary and Uhuru (and their loved ones) are celebrating their birthday today, somewhere in Kenya and the United States as far apart as the Atlantic can keep them out of each other’s hair, so to say!

Oh, oh, oh… nitty-gritters are already at it here, saying Hillary and Uhuru also have something common – elections anyway! In support of that argumentation, they note that Mama Clinton is already well-entrenched on the Election Route – while Uhuru could be contesting for reelection next year!

Clinton’s electoral efforts are directed not only at becoming the 45th US President in the series come the swearing-into the Oval Office at the legendary White House on January 20, 2017… And, in doing so, she also sets the record as the First-ever Female President of the self-styled ‘Land of the Free and Home of the Brave…’ Boy!

Indeed, there’re a bazillion other historic and historical events that took place on October 26 down the years… … Such as the facts that today is celebrated (?) as ‘Intersex Awareness Day’… And that ‘Alfred the Great,King of Wessex (871- 899CE), died at 50 on Oct. 26, 899CE…’

The self-styled ‘King of the Anglo-Saxons’ became famous partly ‘for successfully defending his Kingdom against the Viking attempt at conquest – and had become the dominant ruler in England by the time he died!

‘Alfred had a reputation as a learned and merciful man of a gracious and level-headed nature who encouraged Education, and improved his Kingdom’s Legal System, Military Structure and the People’s Quality of Life…’ And ‘Intersex Awareness Day’ is ‘an international day of grassroots action to end shame, secrecy and unwanted genital cosmetic surgeries on intersex children.

The day provides an opportunity for reflection and political action on October 26 when intersex organizations bring attention to the challenges intersex individuals face, culminating in the Intersex Day of Remembrance/Intersex Solidarity Day on the birthday of Herculine Barbin (Oct. 26, 1838-1868). Barbin was a French intersex person who was regarded as a female at birth – but was later redesigned a male after an affair and physical examination!

Get that? I don’t… Anyway, now that you know, let’s get back to our Hillary and Uhuru… Hillary is famous for several ‘Firsts…’ Apart from being the First Lady of Arkansas State during her hubby’s Governorships( 1979-1981, and again 1983-1992), Hillary was also (but of course!) the US First Lady during Bill Clinton’s Presidency (1993- 2001). The gal was appointed the First Female Chairman of the Legal Services Corporation in 1978 – and became the First Woman Partner at the Rose Law Firm the following year.

Furthermore, she was elected the First Female Senator from New York in Year-2000, America’s only First Lady to’ve ever sought elective office! In her various positions, she was squarely behind some noble developments.

Examples are: she cofounded Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families in 1977, served on several State Corporate Boards – and led a Task Force whose recommendations helped reform Arkansas’s Public Schools.

In 1997 and 1999, she helped create the State Children’s Health Insurance Programme, even as she tackled the problems of adoption, family safety and foster care. An aggressively enterprising ‘Go-Getter,’ would you say? C’mon… But, our Hillary also had murky moments… Like when, at the 1995 UN Conference on Women in Beijing, Mama Clinton stated that ‘Human Rights are Women’s Rights; and Women’s Rights are Human Rights…’ Well? Sheesh! As for Uhuru Kenyatta, he… Sorry, I’ve run out of editorial space here…

Cheeeeeeerio!

{If you’ve what parapsychologists call a ‘dirty mind,’ you might read something untoward into the headline to this Lucubration… Well, DON’T!
