  • 6 signs the guy you are dating is right for you

    {No lady wants to be with a boy; every lady needs a real man who is a keeper but how does a lady know she has found herself a keeper?}

    Below are 6 signs the guy you are dating is right for you.

    {{1. THE WAY HE TREATS YOU WHEN HE IS WITH FRIENDS IS SAME AS THE WAY HE TREATS YOU WHEN YOU ARE ALONE WITH HIM}}

    If he is so sweet to you when you are alone with him but suddenly acts distant when around friends, then he isn’t a keeper. A man who is a keeper isn’t afraid to let the world know you are his girl. A man who is a keeper treats you the same around his friends as he does when you are alone with him.

    {{2. HE REMEMBERS THINGS ABOUT YOU}}

    A man who is a keeper pays attention when you speak because he’s interested in knowing everything about you. He also never forgets vital information about you. A man who is a keeper won’t forget your birthday, your favourite food, your favourite songs and other things you love.

    {{3. HE TREATS HIS MOTHER RIGHT}}

    A man who doesn’t take proper care of his mother won’t take proper care of you. It’s important you find out how he treats his mother because the way a man treats his mother will also reflect the way he’ll treat you someday. He won’t treat you right if he can’t treat his mother right.

    {{4. YOU FEEL SAFE WITH HIM}}

    A man who is a keeper makes you feel safe around him. Whenever something goes wrong, he is always there by your side to help. He has this sweet way of always looking out for you and you just feel at peace with the world when you are in his arms.

    {{5. YOU ARE COMFORTABLE BEING YOURSELF AROUND HIM}}

    You know the man you are dating is right for you when you are very comfortable being yourself around him. You are never afraid if he sees you without your makeup or in your worst moments. You just feel so comfortable with him and never have to worry about him loving you any less.

    {{6. HE IS ALWAYS ON YOUR MIND}}

    You know you have found yourself a keeper if he is always on your mind and you also find yourself smiling at the thought of him. He is always on your mind because he is truly special and you also have nothing but good things to say about him.

  • 7 tips to attract money to your life

    {There’s the power of attraction, and I don’t really mean physical attraction — far from it; by this, I mean attracting things you actually desire into your life. So, it’s not a myth that you can actually attract money to your life.}

    These are some ways you can actually attract money into your life:

    {{1. BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN}}

    This is a very important step if you want to attract money to your life. When you believe that you can’t then there is nothing that can be done about it. However, if you believe that you can, you open up a world of opportunities for yourself. It all starts with the belief that you can.

    {{2. DON’T ENVY OTHERS}}

    If you must attract wealth into your life, you shouldn’t be envious of the success of others; rather you should genuinely celebrate their success with them. Negative attitude would only attract negative things into your life and positive attitude would only attract positive things into your life.

    {{3. INVEST IN OTHERS}}

    Giving is an investment that would attract money, wealth and success to you. When you help others who need help, you open up a world of possibilities for yourself. The earth would definitely favour you. This is a practice many wealthy people engage in and it attracts more wealth to their lives.

    {{4. STOP WORRYING}}

    I have never heard that worrying solved a problem. If anything, worrying only compound your woes. So, don’t worry; when you stop worrying, you start thinking and you think positively.

    {{5. UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF MONEY}}

    It’s important that you have to understand money before you can attract it to yourself. You should understand that savings and cutting out unnecessary expenditure would help you earn more. Money shouldn’t be seen as a tool for pride and ego; you make it difficult when you desire money for the wrong reasons.

    {{6. BE GRATEFUL}}

    Be grateful for what you have, rather than complaining about what you don’t. Complaining about the things you don’t have won’t open the doors of wealth for you; it would only kill your joy and create a negative and unproductive way of thinking that won’t yield anything.

    {{7. BE OPEN TO LEARNING}}

    Open your mind up, read books, study the lives of highly successful people, learn to manage your time better and be more productive with it, motivate yourself, work hard and always have patience.

    Money isn’t attracted by luck; you create your own luck, and these seven tips would help attract money to yourself — only if you believe it actually can.

  • Denmark tops global ‘happy’ index, Burundi at bottom

    {Denmark, closely followed by Switzerland, is again the happiest country in the world while crisis-torn Syria and Burundi are the most miserable, according to a global ranking released Wednesday.}

    The 2016 World Happiness Report seeks to quantify happiness as a means of making societies healthier and more efficient. The United Nations published the first such study in 2012.

    As with last year, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden round out the top 10, making small or medium-sized countries in Western Europe seven of the top 10 happiest countries.

    Denmark, which was ranked first in the 2012 and 2013 versions of the report but lost that honor to Switzerland in 2015, now reclaims its title as happiest country on Earth.

    Burundi was the most miserable, followed by war-ravaged Syria, Togo, Afghanistan and six other countries in sub-Saharan Africa — Benin, Rwanda, Guinea, Liberia, Tanzania and Madagascar as the least happy of 157 countries.

    The report compared data from 2005 to 2015 showing that Greece, which suffered enormously from the global recession and now faces a crippling migrant crisis, had the highest drop in happiness.

    The United States, where sharp polarisation has been exposed in the 2016 presidential election campaign, out-ranked several Western European countries to be 13th most happy nation, up two spots from last year.

    Germany was 16th, Britain 23rd and France 32nd. A string of Middle Eastern kingdoms — Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain — out-ranked Italy, which came in at number 50, and Japan, which took the 53rd spot.

    China, the world’s most populous country, was ranked 83rd and India, the world’s largest democracy, came in at 118.

    The authors said six factors — GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and absence of corruption —explain almost three-quarters of the variation across different countries.

    The report compared levels of happiness in 2005-2007, before the onset of the global recession, with 2013-2015, the most recent three-year period for which data from a Gallup World Poll is available.

    Of the 126 countries for which comparable data was available, 55 had significant increases in happiness and 45 had significant decreases, the report found.

    Among the top 20 gainers were Thailand and China, eight countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe, seven in Latin America, two in sub-Saharan Africa and Macedonia in the Balkans.

    The 20 largest losers of happiness included Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Yemen and Saudi Arabia in the Middle East; Japan and India in Asia; and Cyprus, Spain, Italy and Greece in Europe — all hard hit by the economic crisis.

    Ukraine, where the east has been roiled by a pro-Russian insurgency since 2014, has also fallen into the group of 10 largest happiness declines.

    Iceland and Ireland offer the best examples of maintaining happiness in the face of economic crisis due to high degrees of social support, the report found.

  • Gisagara domestic violence persists

    {Some women from Gikonko sector, Gisagara district have expressed concern over continued domestic violence visited upon them by their husbands, precipitated by abuse of illicit brews and other drugs.}

    This was revealed by women that IGIHE met in Gikonko center.

    “My husband started beating me with a big stick when he returned home recently at dusk. He was drunk. He asked me when food would be cooked and kept beating me until neighbors intervened,” said Mukarugina.

    “Husbands’ wrongdoing is a result of taking illicit brews. For instance, many women in our village are used to be beaten whenever men return home drunk,” added another woman called Musabe.

    The drug abuse also breeds insecurity.

    The executive secretary of Gikonko sector, Ignace Kayumba said that they mobilize citizens to keep away from drug abuse even though the matter has not yet been solved. “Illicit brews and gins are not yet eradicated as we want. Else the matter of domestic violence exists among households. We have been requesting spouses to peacefully resolve family conflicts,” he said.

  • Huye cyclists reminded to respect traffic rules, fight crimes

    {Police in Huye District have urged commercial cyclists to be organized and take internal measures to ensure good conduct and foster safe road usage.}

    The message was delivered on March 15 when over 300 cyclists operating in Huye town convened to discuss ways of improving their business operations and their role in crime prevention.

    Addressing the cyclists, the in-charge of traffic and road safety in Huye, Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Jean Claude Mukomeza reminded them to understand the significance of road safety, take some time to learn about traffic laws because they apply to them as well like any other road user.

    “Cyclists are entitled to similar road safety measures like vehicles, motorcycles and pedestrians, so they should not assume that road signs do not apply to them,” AIP Mukomeza said.

    “You can make yourselves safer and respected by being competent by riding on allocated lanes but not on pedestrian pathways or in the middle of road. You should also use headlights and reflectors at night and follow other traffic rules and laws as motorists and vehicles,” he added.

    Besides abiding by traffic rules, cyclists were also told to play a major role in crime prevention like drug trafficking and abuse, which are also committed or facilitated by cyclists.

    Some cyclists have also been arrested in connection with theft.

    The cyclists who attended the meeting are members of different associations grouped under one cooperative.

    Christophe Ngiruwonsanga, the head of the cooperative reminded his colleagues that “Our services are accessed by many people; this is why we should ensure we keep them safe by abiding with traffic rules.”

    Ngiruwonsanga commended police for frequently reaching out to their sphere, and urged fellow cyclists to follow the advice and be proactive partners in crime prevention.

    “Some cyclists witness bad driving, crimes in progress, or are sometimes exploited by criminals such as burglars and transporters of illicit drugs. A patriotic and good cyclist should always be willing to cooperate with police by providing timely information whenever they experience such occurrences, so that their role in crime prevention is documented,” said Ngiruwonsanga.
