  • Army takes over the running of Miss Uganda beauty contest

    Army takes over the running of Miss Uganda beauty contest

    In case you missed it, the army took over the running of the Miss Uganda pageant this year. Let that bizarre idea sink in for a moment.

    This was certainly a beauty pageant with a difference. The swimsuit section was cast aside for an army-style boot camp, the milking of cows, and showing your skills at handling goats and sheep. At the awards ceremony, contestants were quizzed on farming techniques, as the hosts believe agriculture is a “Ugandan value” and should be celebrated.

    The winner, Leah Kalanguka, is a former mushroom and poultry farmer.

    Miss Universe 2014 Update: No Pageant This Year, MU Scheduled On 2015

    {The 63rd annual Miss Universe pageant is unfortunately not happening this year but in January next year, to be held in Doral, Miami, according to an announcement posted on the pageant’s website. Scheduled to be aired live from Florida International University on NBC, the year’s biggest beauty contest will be on Jan. 25, 2015.}

    Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the highly anticipated event with 82 aspiring beauty queens vying for the crown. The announcement of the final date was made by Miss Universe Organizations (MUO) co-owners Donald Trump and NBC, together with MUO president Paula M. Shugart.

    Since its incorporation in 2013, the City of Doral is massively expanding and gained a lot of attention from Fortune 100 companies. Thanks to its outstanding economic growth and industrial accomplishments, Doral is the next city to watch out and it’s the home of the largest Venezuelan population in the U.S.

    Isler even revealed in the statement that every time she visits the city she feels right at home and stated that it’s a beauty contest and not about “political ideology.” With the latest Venezuelan government crisis, the pageant aims to bring all Venezuelan together and as what Isler said, they are there to represent the country.

    “Doral is a symbol of success and holding the Miss Universe Pageant here will amplify its reputation as a world showcase city,” Shugart said. “Even as one of the newest cities in Miami, Doral is a premier place to live, work, and play due to its beautiful lifestyle and entrepreneurial opportunities.”

    This will be the first time that the famed pageant will skip a year but it will still be Miss Universe 2014 pageant. The 2015 edition of the contest will be held later in the same year. Doral Mayor, Luigi Boria, announced via Twitter that the 2014 MU will be held in his city on Jan. 18, 2015, which caused a lot of controversy, only to be confirmed MUO in late September.

    For this year’s pageant, Kyrgyzstan and Rwanda debuts their beauty queens while Albania, Uruguay, Portugal, St. Lucia, Kosovo, Cyprus, Cote d’lvoire, Montenegro, Egypt, Kenya and Ireland returns to stage. Other countries who confirmed their national pageants include Bulgaria, Tanzania, Guam and Guyana.

  • Why do some men like women with well shaped butt?

    Why do some men like women with well shaped butt?

    Why do some men like women with well shaped butt?

    {{Some would say the response to this question is hard to get.}}

    {We spoke to several youth in Kigali and some of them have freely responded to the above mentioned questions while others preferred to hide their position to this topic.}

    Ngabo, 23 said “I like big butts because they are very attractive, emotionally exciting, and they are very useful during sexual relationship. Frankly I will prefer a woman with big butts, but not excessively big, than those with small ones.”

    Women have also discovered that men are looking for women with big and well shaped butts hence they prefer to put on cloves that are likely to show off their butts’ size.

    In Kigali for example even a young girl with less than 15 years old prefer to put on a small pant or mini-skirt so the guys are attracted by her beauty although some say this “a New era with the new clothing style.”

    On condition of anonymity a young girl from Gasabo District told us “My boyfriend says he likes touching me, especially my huge butt because he says he feels relieved and emotionally relaxed with the first touch on it.”

    There are some also who said that a woman with wider hips and bigger breasts (to a male subconscious), would be more capable in ways of child bearing and breast feeding than a super slim streamlined woman with a smaller chest.

    This is not so for every man, though it is an accepted thesis. Everyone has a different vision of beauty, which may only be skin deep.

    Big bums are only the latest in a long line of things that have become fashionable at the media’s say so.

    On other side some says it has to do with culture. If a person for example is from Kigali city, that person will prefer a thin stick figure lady or tend to have a preference for women with an hour glass big butt look.

  • Mariah Carey to file for divorce ‘very soon’

    Mariah Carey to file for divorce ‘very soon’

    {Mariah Carey will reportedly file for divorce from Nick Cannon ”very soon” and it could be as early as this weekend.}

    Carey, 44, who married the Cannon in 2008 after just six weeks of dating, is reportedly keen to kick-start legal proceedings as soon as possible, maybe even before the weekend, according to New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l page.

    Cannon, 34, announced in August that he and Mariah had been living separately for a few months, but he insisted their main focus was, and always will be, on their three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.

    Rumours began to swirl that infidelity may have caused the breakdown of their marriage shortly after Cannon announced they’d parted ways, but he was quick to shoot down the cheating allegations just days later.

    However, Carey seemed to subtly break her silence on the matter at the weekend when she performed her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour in Tokyo, Japan.

    While performing Billie Holiday’s classic Don’t Explain, the brunette beauty changed the lyrics to the angry line of ”I know you cheated, motherf****r,” which left fans wondering if it was a sly reference to Cannon.

    Meanwhile, the hunk is showing signs that he’s keen to move on from Cannon as he had the tattoo of her name on his back morphed into a picture of Jesus Christ. He also didn’t hold back when it came to showing off his new inking as he had the artwork on full display during a night out at the Playhouse nightclub in Hollywood last week in celebration of his 34th birthday.
