{Ugandan artiste Cinderella Sanyu has sparked off a cyber-beauty “contest” after she labelled the current miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka ugly.}

The singer took to her social media (Facebook) and wrote that: Miss Uganda is ugly, Now I said it And it’s the truth.

This sparked off “war” between the pro-Leah and Pro-Cindy fans with Leah’s sympathisers hurling all clans of insults to Cindy with many stating on her wall that she “just called a kettle black, when she is a pot”.

Cindy’s fans continued emphasizing the words by the singer that she simply said the truth and there is nothing wrong in saying the Miss Uganda is ugly because apparently, she is. One thing that remained constant though is everyone agreed that she (Miss Uganda) has brains.

{Kanye West is notorious for keeping a straight face in photos, and now we know the reason why. While at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards, West revealed the reason he doesn’t show his teeth is because of a book from the 1800s he came across while working on “Yeezus”:}

“I looked at all these people’s photos and they look so real and their outfits were incredible and they weren’t smiling and people, you know the paparazzi, always come up to me, “Why you not smiling?” and I think, not smiling makes me smile … When you see paintings in an old castle, people are not smiling ’cause it just wouldn’t look as cool.”

The difference is astounding.

West’s significant other, Kim Kardashian, previously explained in an Instagram that the reason she doesn’t smile is to prevent wrinkles. Aversion to smiling doesn’t seem to be hereditary, though. The couple’s daughter, North West, is clearly not afraid to show off those pearly whites.

{Senegalese singer and Convict music label CEO Akon recently met Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo at the opening ceremony of the AFCON in Equatorial Guinea}.

He two stars exchanged pleasantries back stage and Akon was glad he finally met the Sitya Loss hit maker.

Akon sent a message to the sitya loss dancing kids as well. “Kenzo I Like Your Song And The Kids Dancing In The Video,Tell Them I Appreciate Their Talent God bless” Akon said.

It is said that the pair could later have a few projects together.

{Cindy says her music career’s success is all about talent and not drugs. The “Sample Dat” singer on Wednesday night treated her fans to a very spirited post on her Facebook page saying that she credits her magnetic performances and song writing ability to talent and orchestrated skill, and not at any given time on drugs as believed by some circles.}

“If someone can sing, write and perform beyond your expectation and ability, it’s a gift, talent, skill…whatever, but not drugs.”

The 29 year-old mum of one concluded, saying; “I have never done a drug in my life. Stop already.”

In her December performance in Rwanda, most of her fans were treated to a new blonde-hair look. Fans did not hesitate to hit her social media platforms asking her to “pull off that thing” or stop supporting her music.

The drama does not end there as she broke up with her Italian/Spaniard ex-boyfriend, Mario Brunette because he failed to propose to her after ten years of dating.

She also accused Mario of racially abusing her. They have a daughter together. Mario on his part, hit back at Cindy accusing her of being a disrespectful mother and wife. Weeks later, she hooked up with South African businessman, Kevin Muyiisa, who proposed but months later broke up making Phina Mugerwa, Kevin’s ex-girlfriend, happy.

Cindy and Kevin have since sorted their differences out, and are now happy together. She believes Kevin is totally hers by saying “what is mine will remain so unless of course I say otherwise.”

{Tayo still insists that selecting Tanzanian contestant, Idris as the winner of the 2014 Big Brother Africa edition was not right.}

Speaking to Ebuka on ‘Rubbin’ Minds’ on Sunday, the Nigerian model said that he could not see any outstanding moment or performance of Idris in the highlights of the programme that he reviewed some days ago.

“When the announcement was made that Idris had won the money, I was shocked, it was like a dream I thought maybe IK was joking.” he said.

Explaining why he feels he deserved to win and not Idris, Tayo said, “You see, when you were in your classroom when you were at school, am sure you knew the best students in your class, you knew who would score like maybe 80/100 and you be like this guy deserves it, you know someone that would score 60 and you be like, eh you, how did you do it! I know you cannot even struggle to get 30.

“But then when it was announced that he was the winner, I was like, oh ok, I was shocked. There was no time that I cried or was down, nothing. But I respect destiny, when God makes something happen, you have no right to question it, what is happening right now, let’s take it as the best for me.

“Millions of people consider me their winner already, everywhere we go people rush out to me, so that is important to me. I feel like a winner, I don’t feel like I’ve lost anything but the person that got the money may be different.”

Asked how he thinks Idris would feel with his comments about his selection, he said: “I don’t know, am not supposed to care. It is not supposed to be my own problem how he feels. I have the right to my own opinion nobody can take that away from me if I feel like that. I congratulated him, I wish him all the best and I hope he uses the money wisely because money is variable factor; it comes and goes especially when you don’t know what to do with it and you use it wrongly. I don’t have anything against him, I have moved on with my life but unfortunately I cannot escape questions like this because these interviews are still going on. So I will still say the same thing the way I feel.”

He added that he is not in touch with Idris but among the 26 fellow housemates, he is in touch with Trezagah, Frankie, Esther, Lilian and M’am Bea.

{Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has sold the car she received as a birthday gift from her ex-boyfriend, musician Diamond Platinumz.}

Diamond acquired the Nissan Murano vehicle for his then boo during her birthday late last year.

He also threw her a star-studded birthday bash.

Wema says she intends to start the year 2015 afresh and focus on what she earns from her sweat.

Their relationship hit rock bottom late last year and Diamond moved on quickly to start off a new relationship with Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.

{Rwandans were frustrated by the Tanzanian artist because he was wearing a sun-hat during his tour inside the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Centre.}

Abdul Juma aka Diamond Platnumz who is to shake Kigali at The New Year Festivity, yesterday visited Gisozi Genocide Memorial centre wearing the sun-hat and that was seen by many as lack of respect to such place where over 250, 000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis are buried.

It is not known whether Diamond did this willingly or it is the people in charge of protocol who have not reminded him to undress his black hat.

Those who were not satisfied by Diamond’s hat wearing have shown that according to cultural values of Rwandans it is forbidden to enter the Genocide Memorial Centre wearing hat.

Meanwhile they criticize the centre’s protocol staff for failure to remind him to undress the sun hat.

Diamond is in Rwanda where he will perform at the New Year Party which takes place on 31st December 2014 and 1st January 2015 at The Expo Ground/Gikondo and Amahoro Stadium respectively.

Arriving at the Kigali International Airport yesterday, the Tanzanian artist said “I am so happy to be in Rwanda, you know this is my First Time here.”

Diamond who is accompanied by a group of 22 people revealed that the Party will be so thrilling and if the first time is “I want to do something good and to show the people of East Africa how greatly we are doing something good.”

If the unfolding events are anything to go by, Ugandan star in the Big Brother House, Ellah, should prepare for heartbreak by her lover Idris.

The pair has spent quality time together, making love and sharing romantic kisses between the sheets on several nights.

It was hoped that Idris would take Ellah’s fondness seriously but this could have been Idris’s game as he has now started seducing Goitse.

The housemates were Tuesday night as excited about their win as we had anticipated them to be. It was either because they were exhausted or had merely taken the win very calmly. One of the two, we hoped.

At the news of having won the wager, Idris stayed in his chair, seemingly disinterested at the goodies in the store room.

Biggie threatened that she would not open the store room unless he stood up and joined the rest of the housemates in their celebrations. JJ ran back to the lounge and lifted Idris in his arms, sparking giggles from the Tanzanian photographer.

It seemed as though Idris was still sulking over his earlier fight with JJ and could not get over being dismissed as “foolish”.

Idris soon went back into the house and into the bedroom. Ellah tried to cheer him up but he had decided that he would not join in on the fun and so she left him, feeling rejected.

In the lounge she sat with JJ and Butterphly, sharing her feelings about how things were not going the way she wanted them between herself and JJ.

Idris later went up to Goitse to have a chat with her and told her that he felt he had done something wrong.

He got serious and told Goitse that he wanted to tell her something and went on to tell her that when he had told her that he liked her, he had really meant it and that his feelings had become stronger.

He said that he was not expecting anything in return and assured her that it was not about the game nor was it about a strategy but was genuine.

Idris said his mother’s message to him earlier today motivated him to express himself to her.

Goitse kept quiet for a while and opened her mouth to tell Idris that he did not have to explain himself, especially about their past, and that she had moved on.

In short, the lady sounded like she was telling Idris that she did not want to know how he was feeling because she was aware and had moved past it.

Idris left Goitse and went back to Ellah and pulled her to join him in bed.
