    Meet Beni Boris Young Learner who wants to open His own Music TV station

    {AS a young learner I finished college and started working in media business in 2011 at radio10 as a DJ and a radio presenter and music programmer. I started an entertainment radio show (the RED zone show) I had an idea to start that because I loved the media business and one day I was with my friend and we were thinking how we could start something that would make the youth come together.}

    That’s how I started looking to options I had and I saw I could really have an impact on our generation basically cause I knew what the loved, what they would love to be doing and Personally, I wanted to get involved with the entertainment business and it was a pleasure to see the youth working radio presenters, concert organizers and fashion designers already.

    And I started doing proposals to different radios and I had Radio10 that were very interested and saw the vision I had and we started immediately, not too long ago it was paying back we had our first sponsors .

    We kept going the show improving and we were pleased that our simple ideas became reality and becoming something big .we started organizing different events that we know youth would love to participate and it was successful.

    After that encouraging start I wanted to continue my studies and signed up into mass media and communication classes in Mount Kenya to get more knowledge about the business and have some tips to make me even more successful in the business media.

    That opened my mind on making something more bigger I had an idea of opening my own Music TV station that idea came up when I was working with radio10 I saw the process of making a TV studio, TV programs, I couldn’t do it alone I had to find partners that have the same mentality and willing to work hard for the dreams to come true.

    Rwanda’s Development Board also established the Entrepreneurship Development, which is a strategy to increase business start-ups in Rwanda. With their five-year plan, they seek to provide existing and potential entrepreneurs with the right skills and knowledge to become competitive locally and regionally.

    With that kind of help I personally look up to some of my mentors and they successful stories that continue to inspire me to this very day that I’ll start my own TV station end of this year. My message to all the dreamers and doers out there is to Persist and believe in yourself and work hard.

  • Angelina Jolie has ovaries and fallopian tubes removed

    Angelina Jolie has ovaries and fallopian tubes removed

    {Actress Angelina Jolie has had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as a preventative measure against cancer.}

    Writing in the New York Times, Jolie said she had the surgery last week as she carries a gene that gave her a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer.

    Two years ago, Jolie, whose mother died from cancer, had a double mastectomy.

    “It is not easy to make these decisions,” she said. “But it is possible to take control and tackle head-on any health issue.”

    Jolie, who is married to Hollywood actor Brad Pitt, elected to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after a check-up two weeks ago.

    In the article, titled Angelina Jolie Pitt: Diary of a Surgery, she said a blood test revealed “a number” of elevated inflammatory markers that could be a sign of early cancer, and was told to see a surgeon immediately.

    “I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren,” Jolie wrote.

    “I called my husband in France, who was on a plane within hours. The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarizing, and it is peaceful.”

    Further tests revealed Jolie was free of a tumour, but elected to have her ovaries removed after consulting doctors. Her mother, grandmother and aunt all died of the disease.

    “My doctors indicated I should have preventive surgery about a decade before the earliest onset of cancer in my female relatives,” wrote Jolie.
    Analysis by Michelle Roberts, Health editor

    Angelina Jolie carries a ‘faulty’ gene, called BRCA1, which sharply increases her risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.

    Her doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of breast cancer and a 50% risk of ovarian cancer in her lifetime unless she underwent surgery

    In 2013, the award-winning actress had both breasts removed to cut her risk of breast cancer

    And now two years later, she has had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed

    These preventive steps greatly decrease her lifetime risk of cancer

    But the surgery does not completely guarantee that cancer will not develop – it is impossible to remove all of the at-risk tissue

    Both men and women who inherit BRCA1, whether or not they go on to develop cancer themselves, have a 50:50 chance of passing the gene on to their sons or daughters

    “My mother’s ovarian cancer was diagnosed when she was 49. I’m 39.”

    Writing about the procedure, saying: “It is a less complex surgery than the mastectomy, but its effects are more severe. It puts a woman into forced menopause.”

    Jolie, who is also a director and UN envoy, will now take hormone replacements.

    “Regardless of the hormone replacements I’m taking, I am now in menopause,” Jolie said.

    “I will not be able to have any more children, and I expect some physical changes. But I feel at ease with whatever will come, not because I am strong but because this is a part of life. It is nothing to be feared.”

    Jolie, who is married to actor Brad Pitt, has six children, three of whom are adopted.

    The Oscar-winning Hollywood star added: “It is not possible to remove all risk, and the fact is I remain prone to cancer. I will look for natural ways to strengthen my immune system. I feel feminine, and grounded in the choices I am making for myself and my family.

    “I know my children will never have to say: “Mom died of ovarian cancer.”

    AK47 death probe: bouncer who recorded statement is fake

    {A bouncer who produced himself at Kabalagala police station and made a statement in regards to singer Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK47’s death is not the one that was seen at the scene on that fateful Monday evening, according to a waitress.
    }

    AK47, who was laid to rest last Thursday in Mityana, died Monday evening after he reportedly collapsed in the restrooms of Dejavu bar owned by Jeff Kiwanuka in Kabalagala.

    There are varied accounts of what exactly transpired that evening before the singer was rushed to Nsambya hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    In one account a bouncer who is yet unidentified, is reported to have followed AK47 to the restrooms before a loud thud was heard by the cleaner, Milton Mumbere.

    The media quoted Mumbere saying that as he went to the restrooms to see what had fallen he met the bouncer rushing out of the restrooms and told him the singer had collapsed.

    Mumbere found AK47 lying on the floor, frothing from the mouth and bleeding from nose and ears. The bouncer was later reported missing, but showed up at police later on Thursday and made a statement.

    The bouncer, who identified himself as Thomas Mwima, made a statement contradicting Mumbere’s narration, saying instead he was called by the cleaner when AK47 collapsed on the floor of the restrooms.

    However in a twist of events, a waitress who works at the bar, speaking on condition of anonymity, says the bouncer who went to Kabalagala police was not the one that was seen dashing from the restrooms that fateful evening.

    The waitress says that evening, at the bar, she saw a bouncer whose face was not familiar and she wonders why he has not been mentioned anywhere in this spellbinding mystery.

    Mumbere is yet to report to the Police to record a statement.

    It has also emerged that last Saturday night the late singer was besieged by a group of bouncers and assaulted in the parking lot of Centenary Park.

    AK47 had just walked out of a heated argument at Laughters Bar situated at Centenary Park where the members of Team No Sleep are common revelers.

    A reveler who witnessed the altercation said AK47 got into a heated argument with the people he was with that night before he stormed out of the bar.

    When he got to his car he was jumped by a group of bouncers who beat him up before he was rescued by revelers who heard him yelling for help.

  • President Obama just took another shot at Kanye West

    President Obama just took another shot at Kanye West

    {President Barack Obama and rapper Kanye West apparently don’t see their relationship in the same terms. }

    West gave a guest lecture at Oxford University earlier this month and reportedly claimed that he and the president were in regular communication with another.

    According to New York magazine, West said he had the ability to “call Obama out of the blue,” and Obama “calls the home phone, by the way.”

    But in an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Obama disputed West’s claim.

    “Look, I love his music. He’s incredibly creative,” Obama said, adding, “I don’t think I’ve got his home number.”

    Obama, who once called West a “jackass” after the rapper infamously upstaged Taylor Swift, said he and West had met only two times.

    “The first time when I was a senator, and he was with his mom, and he had just gotten big. He is from Chicago and so they wanted to meet. And he was very soft-spoken, very gracious,” Obama said, implicitly offering a contrast with West’s current persona. “About six months ago, he came to an event.”

    Obama said he also met West at an unspecified “event” that was “about six months ago,” but he didn’t elaborate.

    Recently, he’s managed to find himself in Rick Ross’ recording studio, and just generally having a good time with the rapper, along with Paul Schaffer, David Letterman’s long-time music man.
