    Chameleone betrayed by fellow Ugandans

    {Ugandan singer, Dr. Jose Chameleone has hinted on the fact that Ugandans have been cold with him for a long time and he is said to be betrayed by his fellow people.}

    Chameleone who has a new hit called ‘Bwerere’ said that the industry has refused to appreciate him despite all the good he has done.

    He went on Facebook and posted; “Been denied so many years! Not played but recognized. I lift my body and soul to those that have spent their time voting for me.”

    According to Ugandan music industry experts, Chameleone could be frustrated for not being recognized after spending a lot of time and effort trying to sale Ugandan music with no major recognition.

    “Kenzo came on the scene recently, and he won a BET award. I think he feels bad that Ugandans have not done a lot for him yet he has been here through thick and thin,” said source.

    Diamond soon to join Politics

    {Bongo music sensation Diamond Platnumz, has revealed that he would one day love to be Tanzania’s Minister for Sports.}

    Speaking exclusively to Radio Citizen on Wednesday, the singer said his dream is to become Tanzania’s Sports Minister even though he is currently cautious about venturing into politics.

    “I am a bit scared of going into politics for now. The area has a lot of issues to be addressed. However, my dream is to one day become Tanzania’s Minister for Sports and Culture. I believe I am capable,” said Diamond.

    The singer further revealed that he had already informed his mother about that particular dream.

    “I have already told my mother and my family that I would love the sports ministry to be my docket in the future.”

    The singer said he is confident he is the right person for the task as he has already identified the gaps that need to be filled in the sports and culture sector.

    Diamond went ahead to say that sometimes ministers are appointed to respective dockets without necessarily having the required experience and skills to address emerging issues in those areas.

    “I have observed there are issues which are at times left unattended to. This is not because the minister in charge chooses to ignore them, but because he or she has no skill or expertise to identify, let alone address them.”

    Diamond however insisted for now he is addressing his personal issues, and has no interest whatsoever to venture into politics

    {Chris Brown’s, 26, home in the San Fernando Valley was robbed in a scary invasion on July 15. Three armed men forced their way into the home, and held Breezy’s aunt hostage in a locked closet while they ransacked the mansion.

    The robbers, who were wearing black handkerchiefs over their faces, waved a gun in Chris’ aunt’s face and forced her into the closet while they made their way through the home. Money and other personal property were stolen, but they fled the property before his aunt was able to call 911

    Miss USA 2015: Miss Oklahoma Olivia Jordan Wins the Crown!

    {Miss Oklahoma, Olivia Jordan, won big at the 2015 Miss USA pageant on Sunday, July 12, beating out 50 women to win the crown.}

    Jordan, 26, made it through the fierce rounds of the competition, sliding into the Top 15 after preliminary events and captivating viewers as she worked it in the live show’s bikini and evening gown rounds.

    The Oklahoma native impressed during the question portion of the competition, which was held in Baton Rouge, La. She spoke first on the issue of race relations in the United States, stressing the need for improved dynamics, and later went on to name Oprah and Harriet Tubman as two women she would like to see on the $10 bill.

    The model and 2013 winner of Miss World America inherits the title from 2014 Miss USA winner Nia Sanchez, who represented the state of Nevada in last year’s competition. Jordan was followed in the top five by first runner-up Miss Texas Ylianna Guerra, second runner-up Miss Rhode Island Anea Garcia, third runner-up Miss Nevada Brittany McGowan, and fourth runner-up Miss Maryland Mamé Adjei.

    The competition was famously full of controversy thanks to co-owner Donald Trump’s headline-making words about Mexican immigrants as he campaigns for the GOP nomination for President in the 2016 election. Trump’s choice to label these immigrants as “rapists” and drug pushers inspired NBC and Univision to drop the pageant, and moved scheduled talent — from judges to performers to hosts — to pull out of the gig.

    Many surprised by Pictures showing RDF Physical fitness

    {Many people on social media have been surprised by a picture which shows a Parading RDF officer whom they said his physical fitness is a doubtless fact that Rwandan Army is well trained.}

    The picture was taken on 26 June 2015 when President Paul Kagame was commissioning 528 cadet officers to the rank of Second Lieutenant in RDF.

    Meanwhile there is another one which shows an RDF female officer in the same parade whom the majority said hey eye sight could make them surrender and strait forward.

    The officers who have concluded a one year military training at Rwanda Military Academy (RMA) Gako included 60 female officers. Some of the commissioned officers included professionals from University completed six month training.

    RDF officers are well-known in peacekeeping operations as well as to have put an end to the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.

    Newly-crowned Miss Zimbabwe robbed

    {{HARARE}} – {Newly-crowned Miss World Zimbabwe Annie-Grace Mutambu was on Friday night attacked by robbers in her neighbourhood in Cranborne. }

    Mutambu was crowned on Friday afternoon and the attack took place on the same night and she lost a laptop. She was in the company of her sister who also lost a mobile phone in the robbery.

    Tendai Chirau, Miss Zimbabwe Trust’s communications and programmes manager said they were shocked by the attack and that they hope justice will be served.

    “It’s just like in a family when a misfortune falls on someone, we are not happy as the Trust.

    “We are not sure if it was a genuine criminal attack or it’s our detractors who attacked her. We hope the police will catch them and bring them to book,” he said.

    Her mother Mrs Mutambu said the two were robbed by six men who were in a red VW Golf.

    {Uganda’s musician Dr Chameleone has been crowned for the second time Kigali flop king after his much anticipated show dubbed ‘Royal Concert’ failed to happen.}

    The show was supposed to start at 6:30 pm , but MC stormed the stage at around 1O:00 pm. At the very minute he was introducing himself to the public, Police officers ordered the organizers to stop music and close the doors.

    The main fact given by Police is that the show was embarrassing. News reaching our desk indicate that organizers did not have the permission of playing music at Serena Hotel.

    In fact , Chameleone failed to fill the Kigali Serena hotel and received a maximum number of 40 revelers far less from what organizers anticipated.

    The show would not happen when there few people scattered in the hall and the numbers were increasing at a decreasing rate.

    The main factor that successfully led to the flop of the show was poor organization and weak advertising strategies.

    Last year, Chameleone had two shows in Kigali, one took place at Serena hotel and another one at Expo grounds received a maximum number of 60 -50.

    Rick Ross Arrested and Charged With Kidnapping

    {The rapper Rick Ross was arrested on Wednesday in Fayetteville, Ga., and charged with kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated assault, the police said.}

    The arrest stemmed from an incident on June 7 at a residence on Highway 279 in Fayetteville, south of Atlanta, where Mr. Ross is known to have a home once owned by the former boxer Evander Holyfield.

    Jim Joyner, a supervisor with the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, told The Associated Press that Mr. Ross, born William Leonard Roberts, was arrested along with another man described as the rapper’s bodyguard.

    The Fayette County sheriff’s office identified the bodyguard as Nadrian Lateef James, 42. He was charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery.

    Both men will be held at the Fayette County jail until an initial court appearance and bond hearing.

    Mr. Ross, 39, was arrested on June 10 after a traffic stop and charged with marijuana possession, a misdemeanor. The rapper, known for his outsize boss persona as the founder of Maybach Music Group, released two albums — “Mastermind” and “Hood Billionaire” — in 2014.

    {While he was the guest of a program in Côte d’Ivoire, Stromae broke down in tears before the cameras by addressing the delicate subject of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi.}

    As reported by the French music site Charts in France, the Belgian-Rwandan singer was the special guest on the set of the show on C’Midi RTI1 chain tour in Abidjan in May.

    After the broadcast of a short report dealing with reconciliation in Rwanda, the presenter invited Stromae to rule on the subject.
