Brazzaville City to get 6500 Modern Latrines

About 6500 modern latrines will be built in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire for a total cost of 70,000 FCFA per latrine to ensure sanitation in the two cities.

The announcement was made Saturday in Brazzaville at the opening of a workshop on hygiene and sanitation for more than 40 teachers and 72 students from 24 schools of the city.

To date, over 1,000 people have already subscribed to this project in the city of Brazzaville, Xhinua learnt during the training.

This project led by the Pan African Intergovernmental Agency Water and Sanitation (EAA), has specific objectives, to familiarize participants with the different routes of disease transmission through hydro-stool and bring to appropriate health standards in schools.
