A masked man has fled after an attempted car bomb attack on a Belgian army barracks in the town of Flawinne, media reports say.
Shots were fired by Belgian soldiers after a man rammed a car into the gates of a paratrooper barracks.
Prosecutors say that were no injuries in the attack, near the city of Namur in the south of the country.
The attacker’s car has reportedly been found abandoned in the nearby town of Belgrade.
In January, Belgium police killed two men in a major counter-terrorism raid, just a week after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in the French capital Paris.
