South Africa:Hunt on for gang after businessman strangled

{Pretoria- Police are searching for a gang of five following the murder of a 45-year-old Bangladeshi businessman during a business robbery in Gezina, Pretoria. }

According to police, four men and a woman entered the Saria Mini Market on the corners of Jacob Street and 14th Avenue in Gezina on Saturday morning. Inside, they found the Bangladeshi man and his younger brother. The group then roughed up the brothers before torturing them.

“The unarmed men allegedly started to threaten the two Bangladeshi men and made them to lie down on the floor. The suspects put a plastic bag over the younger brother’s head and allegedly strangled the older Bangladeshi man,” Captain Colette Weilbach said.

“The suspects took an unknown amount of cash and grocery stock items before they fled in a silver grey Toyota Avanza.”

No arrests have been made. Police are investigating a case of business robbery and murder.
