{Last night police in the coastal town of Mombasa picked young men from mosques in that town. The police said those are Alshabaab sympathisers.}
One of the young men who were picked from Masjid Musa and Sakina Mosque was killed while 250 more were arrested. Mombasa police boss Jeferi Mayeek told reporters that from the mosques they recovered 8 hand grenades, pistols, 6 rounds of ammunitions, a knife, mobile phones and books showing the photos of Osama Bin Laden. However, there are no independent reports to confirm his remarks.
The situation in affected areas of Mombasa is said to be tense and business premises remain closed. Many police officers were deployed in the areas affected where those mosques are located.
