The trial of the alleged killers of Colonel Mamadou Ndala opens Wednesday, October 1 at Beni in North Kivu.
The commander of the 42nd commando battalion of the Armed Forces of the DRC (FARDC) was shot Jan. 2, 2014 in an ambush by gunmen near the airport in North Kivu.
According to judicial sources, twenty defendants will show at this hearing. Among them, they counted eight civilians, four senior FARDC officers and two former bodyguards of Colonel Mamadou Ndala.
